Welcome to Prantl's Bakery! We are located at 5525 Walnut Street in Shadyside (Pittsburgh). We are open 7:30am - 6pm Tuesday through Saturday AND WE ARE NOW OPEN SUNDAYS 9AM - 1PM.

Please call ahead for any special orders: wedding cakes, birthday cakes, pastry trays, cupcakes, cookies, bread . . . We'll be happy to make whatever you desire for your special occassion or just because you have a craving.

NEW! So many of our customers have asked if we can ship our famous Burnt Almond Torte. Finally we can say "YES". Please click on the "Add To Cart" button and follow the directions to have a torte shipped.

All tortes ship UPS. Tortes will be shipped to minimize time in transit (i.e. we will hold a Thursday or Friday order until Monday to avoid having the torte sit over the weekend). All of our tortes come with "tips for your torte" that tell you how to freeze them for that special occassion, so order early! You may also let us know in the Special Instructions field if you'd like us to include a gift tag.

Shipping hints: UPS "Ground" typically takes 1 day to communities in and neighboring Pennsylvania (e.g. Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Cleveland, Morgantown, WV) and 2 days to the rest of the Northeast and Midwest (Chicago, New York, Boston) as well as parts of the South (Nashville, Atlanta, Myrtle Beach). For destinations further South (e.g. Florida, Louisiana, etc.) or West (e.g. Texas, California, Washington, etc.) we recommend using 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air during these warmer summer months.
